Meet Andrea

How one woman’s lived experience, voice, and vision became a compass for life’s turning points.

About Me

Andrea Melane Lewis is a Certified Peer Specialist-Adult, a Certified Recovery Support Specialist, psychology student, woman of faith, and advocate for recovery and mental health. Her personal journey has given her a deep understanding of addiction, trauma, unhealthy relationships, mental health struggles, and the courage it takes to begin again.

Through seasons of pain, addiction, heartbreak, and healing, Andrea discovered that survival is only the beginning. True recovery means learning to reclaim your voice, rebuild your life, recognize your worth, establish boundaries, and believe that your future can be greater than your past.

Her faith has remained at the center of her journey. Andrea believes that even in the darkest moments, God can bring purpose from pain and hope from places that once seemed hopeless. Her testimony is rooted in the belief that the midnight hour may be dark, but it does not last forever.

Andrea is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a cognate in Criminal Psychology. She is passionate about using both her education and lived experience to encourage others who are struggling with addiction, trauma, shame, or circumstances that make them feel trapped.

In Mercy of the Midnight Hour: Surviving the Needle and the Narcissist, Andrea courageously shares a deeply personal story of addiction, abuse, survival, recovery, faith, and transformation.

She wrote this memoir for anyone who has ever felt too broken to be healed, too lost to be found, or too far gone to begin again.

Her message is simple:

Your past may be part of your story, but it does not have to write your ending.

There is still mercy.

There is still hope.

And there is still a morning.

Andrea Melane Lewis continues to walk in that hope—one day, one prayer, and one step at a time.
